Emman Atienza, daughter of Filipino TV host Kim Atienza, has died at the age of 19.
Revealing the heartbreaking news on Instagram, her family expressed hope that her fans would continue to live by the qualities she imbued.
Emman was a rising star in her own right, having accumulated over 856,000 followers on TikTok, where she spoke openly about her mental health, including her struggles with depression and anxiety. Her content had garnered almost 50 millions likes.
Posting a carousel of photos to her mother’s Instagram, her family said: “It’s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman.
“She brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her.
“Emman had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and she wasn’t afraid to share her own journey with mental health. Her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.”

They continued: “To honor Emman’s memory, we hope you carry forward the qualities she lived by: compassion, courage, and a little extra kindness in your everyday life.”
The Economic Times cite Official Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Coroner reports as having confirmed that the teenager died by suicide through ligature hanging.
The GMA Network report that she had moved to the city in August.
Emman, the daughter of Kim Atienza, a Filipino TV and weather presenter, and Felicia Hung, an entrepreneur, was reportedly found dead at her Los Angeles apartment.
Only two days before her death, the 19-year-old appeared in high spirits in a life update video on her TikTok.
The clip showed her dancing with friends, as well as rollerskating, skateboarding and rock climbing. The accompanying caption read: “Life lately… does this go hard?”
Rest in peace, Emman Atienza.
