‘When Calls the Heart’ actress on life support after fall from five-story balcony

When Calls the Heart’s Mamie Laverock is currently on life support after sustaining life-threatening injuries from a fall at a hospital.

According to a GoFundMe set up by her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton, the 19-year-old was in the care of a hospital in Vancouver, Canada when the accident occurred.

On May 11, Laverock was transported to a hospital in Winnipeg by her mother after suffering a “medical emergency.”

While details on her recovery were unclear, her parents shared the actress was alive and “showing signs of improvement” after having been transferred to a hospital in Vancouver.

They expected her to remain there “upwards of a month or more.”

However, on May 26, Laverock’s parents updated the fundraiser with grim news.

After two weeks in the intensive care unit, the 19-year-old was “escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.”

The fall, which has required “multiple extensive surgeries,” resulted in life-threatening injuries. Laverock is currently on life support.

“We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time,” her parents wrote.

Laverock’s When Calls the Heart costars have taken to social media asking fans to donate what they can to the family’s fundraiser.

Erin Krakow, costar and executive producer, wrote, “”? I just donated. If you have the means to do so, I hope you will too. Link in bio,” underneath a screenshot of the fundraiser.

Johannah Newmarch, who plays Laverock’s onscreen mother, shared similar words.

“I love this family, my heart is broken. A devastating time for all who care for Mamie. Please help if you can,” she wrote. “They need all the support they can get to make it through this.”

My heart breaks for Mamie’s family. I pray that she will be healed. Please join me in praying for her health.
