Throughout her childhood, Jessica Gagen received insults from her classmates.
As a little girl, she was teased for her red hair and told how ugly she was on a daily basis.
But many years later, she got her great revenge in a way that now inspires people worldwide.
Recently, she was crowned Miss England and hailed as the country’s most beautiful girl – now check how this precious young woman looks today…
There are no excuses for constantly being rude to people. Every human deserves to be treated with respect and love – not hate.
Unfortunately, now and then, we hear about how mean people think they have the right to hurt others. Children are especially susceptible to this social sin; they can often feel isolated and left with nowhere to turn.
Jessica Gagen, from Lancashire in England, stood out from the crowd even as a child. Her red hair made her stand out, and it was something she should have been celebrated for – instead, the opposite happened.
We are all unique and should be loved and supported regardless of appearance. But Jessica’s reality was far from that attitude of respect and care. In school, she was often left out by the other children and was called names that made her run home in floods of tears.
Jessica was told how ugly she was almost every day.
It went so far that her classmates even spat on her and tried to burn the young girl with a lighter because she had ”ginger hair.”
Her unique appearance meant she was humiliated on a regular basis.
“I was name-called on the daily, and although I don’t think the kids were being malicious in doing, so there were definitely times they were. I was hit, spat at and had things thrown at my head quite a few times, but worst was when a girl burned me for having ginger hair,” Jessica told The Mirror.
In year seven, Jessica felt forced to eat her lunch in the school toilets – because on the occasions she’d tried to sit with some of the girls at the cafeteria, they’d got up and left. Jessica didn’t feel beautiful, but ultimately, it was she who was going to be the winner in life.
“I used to get really upset about it all, but I’m determined to show kids who are facing the same thing that it won’t happen forever,” Jessica says.
The years passed and Jessica grew up into a young woman.
That’s when she decided to make a real difference for others who have also been or are being tormented at school. Instead of letting all of that negativity crush her, she used it to push herself even harder.
She applied to a modeling agency and began investing in a career that was all about her appearance. Her international modeling journey started at age 18, when she was praised to the high heavens for her unique style.
Now she’s not only wildly successful, but also an inspiration to young people who’ve been told that they’ll never accomplish their dreams.
Recently, Jessica got the ultimate revenge.
She applied for the beauty contest “Miss England,” and in 2022, she won the title, becoming the first red-haired woman to do so. After finishing runner-up for Miss England 2021, winning the competition meant a lot to Jessica.
“I looked back and I was thinking there are not that many redheads on TV. I thought if I could win this, I could empower kids who being bullied for the way that they look and the color of their hair,” she says.
Today, Jessica Gagen is using her success as a platform to spread her message: everybody is unique and nobody has flaws.
This gorgeous young woman had the last laugh – and looking at her today, she’s shining while her bullies are probably hiding somewhere, regretting their cruel words and actions.
Jessica is a true inspiration for us all.
We’re all beautiful just the way we are. Never forget that! And don’t forget to share Jessicas’s powerful message to your friends and loved ones!
