A woman was excited to be able to find some wildlife captured on her camera who would be attracted to a deer carcass on her property. Instead, what the camera catches is bone-chilling.

Corinea Stanhope was riding one of her horses when she came across a dead deer on her property. She decided to set up a trail camera near the carcass in order to see if it would attract any animals. And being a lover of nature, she wanted to know what that would look like.
But the 36-year-old could not believe what she saw in the footage. Her 76-year-old grandfather was the one to check the footage and immediately alerted his granddaughter about what horrors he had seen in the film.
The camera had caught two half-naked women who appeared to be eating the carcass. Two female figures with long matter dark hair and minimal clothing were seen next to the deer carcass.
With their faces covered by their hair, the two women can be seen reaching their hands over and picking up the hoof before appearing to take a bite.
Stanhope shared that she was terrified because the camera was set up just a 2-minute walk from where her home is and she houses her horses on the same land as well.
After she shared images of the ordeal on social media, she was inundated with comments where concerned people tried to decipher what the women were. While some thought they might have been witches, others wanted to say they might be wendigos or even ‘walking demons.’
Stanhope explained the entire situation, saying, “There was a dead deer so me and my grandpa put up a trail camera to see if we could see animals and we got a bobcat [on camera], which was pretty cool.”
“I came the next day and grandpa said he’d got naked people on the camera and I said ‘no you didn’t. Bullsh*t’ so he showed me,” Stanhope said.
“I don’t know what the heck was up with that. It really freaked us out, it’s not something you see every day. They came ten minutes after sunset. They looked disheveled. It looks like they have wigs on. One looks like she has blonde hair underneath,” she said.
“You can’t really tell from the photos but the hoof was brought right up to her mouth,” Stanhope points out.
“I don’t know if she was kissing it, smelling or eating it but to touch a decaying carcass like that makes me feel sick. The amount of bacteria that must have been on there,” she added. She reasoned, “Maybe they were paying their respects but they were naked.”
She added her fears, saying, “It really creeped me out because it’s only a two-minute walk from our house and I was concerned about them messing with my horses at night.”
After she shared images of the women on social media, those in the area shared her concerns. Some guessed that it might be evil spirits, witches, or something supernatural enacting a ritual.
“A lot of people mentioned skin walkers and wendigos. There’s rumours around town about a cult that collects animal bones. I don’t know if it’s real or not. Some people have mentioned it since I posted the photos. A friend said they came across two people in the woods carrying some dead squirrels,” she said.
Stanhope was tempted to call the authorities to look into the matter but her grandfather pointed out that the women were not doing anything illegal. Stanhope is hoping it is a prank. “I’m hoping they went for a walk in the day, saw the trail cam was set up and wanted to have a bit of fun with us or they’re on some good drugs,” she said.
