Husband and wife duo Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are set to star in their first movie together since 2004.
The Hollywood couple are slated to costar in the upcoming movie Connescence.
While the two have starred in plenty of social media videos together, the couple haven’t appeared in a feature film since 2004 when they starred in Cavedweller and The Woodsman.
According to Deadline, which first broke the news, Connescence will have Bacon play the character Stan Olszewski, “a sharp, funny, but chronically underachieving security guard.”
Olszewski breaks up an attempted robbery at the home of Cynthia Rand, played by Sedgwick. Rand is a successful urologist married to the former Watergate prosecutor Warren Rand. After their chance encounter a “charged and dynamic friendship” grows between Olszewski and Rand that “shakes the foundation of both their lives.”
“We are so excited to work together on screen again for the first time in twenty years in such a funny, moving and original script,” Sedgwick and Bacon said in a statement.
Bacon and Sedgwick first met in 1987 while filming Lemon Sky and by the end of that year they were engaged. The couple tied the knot on September 4, 1988.
The actors share two children, Travis, 34, and Sosie, 31.
We can’t wait to see Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick together again on the big screen! Please share if you’ll be watching their new movie.
