When Australian heartthrob Chris Hemsworth received his much-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, his wife Elsa Pataky was making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Accompanying the ruggedly handsome Thor actor on the red carpet, Pataky was hammered by online fashion police who criticized her outfit.

On May 23, the charming Chris Hemsworth walked the red carpet at 6819 Hollywood Boulevard and joined 2,780 honorees with a highly coveted star on the Walk of Fame.
The star, which he earned in the category of Motion Pictures, was awarded in recognition of his “remarkable performances that have captivated audiences worldwide.”
Expressing his gratitude, Hemsworth, 40, shared several photos from the event on Instagram.
The actor – whose portrayal of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) captured the hearts of millions – captions the post, “Well this was wild and surreal! Massive thank you to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Walk of Fame selection committee for this honour and to all the incredible people that have helped, encouraged and supported me over the years on this crazy adventure!”
Among the photos are ones where the Limitless star is seen with Robert Downey Jr., Iron Man in the MCU, his gushing parents, his wife Elsa Pataky and 12-year-old daughter India Rose, who was camera shy.
Also celebrating their father’s victory were twin boys Sasha and Tristan, 10. While posing for pictures, one of the proud sons clutched his dad’s framed certificate in his hands while the other sat across the shiny new star engraved with the name “Chris Hemsworth.”
After the event, Pataky, 47, shared some photos of the family on Instagram, writing, “We are so proud of you my love…Congratulations on the Hollywood Walk [of] Fame Star.”
Fans praised images of the beautiful family, while many applauded the children for winning the genetic lottery.
Meanwhile, others zoned in on Pataky’s outfit.
‘It’s becoming ghetto’
Looking incredibly dapper, the star of Extraction was wearing a navy three-piece suit with an unbuttoned white shirt that flaunted his toned physique.
And his wife, whom he married in 2010, was the target of trolls. “Now, I think she has a particular taste in clothing, verging on tacky, that translates in poor style choices that don’t highlight her beautiful body features,” writes one fan of her off-white, two-piece gown embellished with black lacing.
A second fan offers, “I have those same pajamas!”
A few noticed her distracting top, that she wore without a bra.
“PJ’s, no bra and bed hair…not classy,” shares a third, while a fourth suggests, “[Elsa] should do more for that area…it’s becoming ghetto.”
Another adds, “Was she rushed out of bed to come?”
But not everyone agreed that the Spanish model and actor looked dishevelled on the star-speckled sidewalk in Los Angeles.
“Guess I’m the only one to say she looks stunning in that set! It doesn’t look like lingerie to me,” writes one fan of Pataky, who appears with her husband in the post-apocalyptic film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
A second writes, “Elsa is absolutely gorgeous, stunning really, always exuding a youthful glow.”
Another shares of the couple, “you guys are perfect! I love your relationship it’s major goals! hermosa familia.”
The Hollywood Walk of Fame features stars embedded with the names of celebrities honoured for their achievements in the entertainment industry. Other Aussie and New Zealand actors who received the distinction include Nicole Kidman, Russell Crow and Cate Blanchett.
