Remember the wildly popular show Supermarket Sweep where contestants answered questions about various items sold in a grocery store before getting a chance to run through the aisles to collect as many products as they could?
While the show aired in the early 1990s, it’s currently available to stream, allowing fans of the show to relive some of their favorite moments.
Recently, X user Tom Zohar, shared an image of two contestants from a 1991 episode who called themselves “business partners.”
Zohar had his suspicions as did plenty of others.
“These two just said they’re ‘business partners’ who ‘design sets for plays’ and I’m like oh I’m sure,” Zohar wrote on X.
Zohar’s tweet quickly collected over 4 million views, one which was none other than Tim Leach, one of the contestants in the picture.
Leach shared his own reaction to the post on Facebook before confirming what many viewers suspected.
“Just celebrated our 41st anniversary. Married in 2008 on our 25th anniversary as soon as it was legal in California. We ran a business together designing and painting backdrops and sets for 27 years.”
Not only were Tim and Mark business partners who designed sets for plays, but they were romantic partners as well.
Many people in the comments could not believe the sweet outcome.
“omg this is so wholesome!”
“There is good in this world and these 2 are good”
“this is so beautiful thanks for sharing”
This is the sweetest thing I’ve seen on the internet in a long time. I love this so much. While it’s heartbreaking they didn’t feel safe enough to reveal their relationship on television in the 90s, I’m so happy they’ve remained a couple this entire time.
