'Wheel of Fortune' contestant stuns audience with 'worst' answer

Another day, another Wheel of Fortune contestant gone viral.

During Monday’s episode, Will Jordan, a contestant from Wethersfield, Connecticut, botched his answer to one of the game’s puzzle.

Jordan started the game strong.

The veteran police officer had solved a decent portion of the puzzle when he believed he knew the correct answer. With “_ _ _ E _ OURSE _ F A ROUN_ OF A _ _ _ AUSE” on the board, Jordan told host Ryan Seacrest he would like to solve.

Sounding as confident as ever, Jordan said, “Treat yourself to a round of sausage.”

“No,” Seacrest said, as only a small chuckle escaped from the crowd.

The next contestant, Air Force veteran Kitina Thomas, wasted no time solving the Wheel of Fortune puzzle, which was “Give yourself a round of applause.”

While everyone applauded Thomas, Seacrest joked Jordan’s response may have actually been “better.”

After the show Jordan spoke with Maggie Sajak, Wheel of Fortune’s social media correspondent, about his mishap.

“I tell you, when the lights are on and the stars, Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White, I just went blank,” he told Pat Sajak’s daughter.

“But, if your dad, in retirement, is watching this show, maybe cracks a beer and gets a laugh, it was worth it,” he added.

Maggie assured Jordan she and her dad would make sure to watch the episode when it aired.
