A resurfaced clip from a White House press conference has sent social media into a frenzy – not over policy or politics, but over the “possessed” billionaire philanthropist who’s standing just feet away from President Donald Trump.
In December, a billionaire philanthropist couple were at the White House, announcing a staggering $6.25 billion pledge aimed at funding investment accounts for at least 25 million American children.
Yet despite the magnitude of the announcement, online chatter quickly pivoted to the “possessed” woman standing a few feet away from the president.
“She’s giving The Conjuring,” one person wrote of the unrecognizable woman, while a second shared: “She looks possessed,” one person posted.
Another joked, “It’s her first day in a human suit.”
One particularly viral tweet summed up the confusion: “Strange behavior of a women during a press conference at the White House…@grok It went viral…Who is she ??”
Susan Dell
The woman in question is Susan Dell, billionaire philanthropist, co-founder, and chair of the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.
Alongside her husband, tech mogul Michael Dell, Susan, 61, has spent decades building one of the world’s most influential private charitable foundations, focusing on education, healthcare, and economic stability for families.
Massive donation
She and her 60-year-old husband were there to announce a monumental pledge tied to Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” a sweeping legislative package designed to expand financial opportunities and long-term savings programs for young Americans.
The commitment marked one of the largest philanthropic contributions connected to a federal savings initiative. The Dells’ funding was intended to help establish accounts for children that could grow over time – a move supporters say could create generational financial stability.
For a brief moment, the focus was on the scale of the donation and its potential impact.
But online, attention drifted elsewhere.
‘Looks like a ventriloquist’s dummy’
“If you’re a woman considering facial plastic surgery look at these photos of Susan Dell really hard before you go down that path,” one user warned in a Facebook post that showed before and after photos of the mother of four. “She used to be a beautiful woman but now she looks like a ventriloquist’s dummy.”
Others celebrated the Dell’s contribution while also questioning her appearance.
“This is awesome. Also, what the hell is going on with Susan Dell’s face?” asked a second user.
“Wonderful! Now let’s address what everyone is thinking. What’s up with homegirl? Can she even close her eyes at all? Why do billionaire women all have the same look? Certainly they can afford better plastic surgeons,” another added.
‘Tighter and tauter’
As the speculation grew, medical professionals stepped in to share their assessments.
Dr. Ross Perry, Medical Director of Cosmedics skin clinics, shared his professional observations in an interview with the Irish Star.
“Susan has sparked widespread speculation about whether she may have undergone cosmetic treatments. In comparison to earlier photographs, her face appears noticeably tighter and tauter, and her eye area looks more open than usual. Several aesthetic procedures, surgical or non-surgical, could create this type of result,” he said.
He suggested a range of possibilities.
‘Startled appearance’
“There is a possibility she may have undergone a full facelift, as the skin around the jawline and mid-face appears lifted” he explained. “Another possibility is upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), which can make the eyes look more open, refreshed, and awake, an effect that looks likely in the recent images.”
However, Dr. Perry noted that surgical intervention isn’t the only potential explanation.
“Botox can smooth forehead and frown lines, while dermal fillers in the cheeks or tear troughs can restore lost volume and create a more youthful contour. In some cases, overuse of injectables, such as excessive Botox around the eyes or too much filler in the mid-face, can even contribute to a slightly ‘wide-eyed’ or startled appearance,” he added.
Costly procedures
Dr. Gerard Lambe, cosmetic surgeon and founder of the Reflect Clinic, echoed similar sentiments.
“Based on recent public appearances and images, Susan Dell appears to have invested significantly in facial rejuvenation procedures,” Lambe told the outlet. “Without examining her personally, I can only offer professional observations about what treatments might contribute to such changes,” he said.
He added that the “total estimated investment could be $50,000-100,000 or more over time.”
Neither doctor has examined Dell personally, and their comments remain speculative.
The episode highlights how quickly social media can shift the narrative – even during major philanthropic announcements.
