Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, says there’s one reason alone the president decided to attack Iran.
The war in Iran is in full force. U.S. and Israeli troops have bombed several sites, including the capital, Tehran, and over the weekend reportedly killed Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Meanwhile, Iran has responded, and fears of further escalation are growing as American service members have been killed.
Many questions remain about the motive behind the attack, and Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, has spoken out about what she believes is the real reason for the offensive. She maintains there is “one reason alone,” and it’s not regime change, according to the Mirror.
On her YouTube channel, Mary alleged that her uncle has “no interest” in the Iranian people. The title of her video is “Donald Trump Declares War to Save Himself.”

“The Iranian people have suffered long and horribly under the cruel and repressive authoritarian theocracy currently in power. They deserve to be free, and they deserve the ability to determine their own system of governance,” she says, according to the Mirror.
“But the man who is bombing their country has no interest in them, and he has no plan to create the conditions in which they can become free, or support the efforts to create an alternative to the current regime.”
She added that Donald Trump has “never had a plan” and that he “wreaks havoc.” In her opinion, her uncle’s tactics have proven successful for him because he “never suffers the consequences” of what she describes as “reckless and ill-considered actions.”
“For Donald, there is one reason and one reason alone. He’s in trouble, and he knows it. This isn’t simply about changing the subject. That, of course, would be bad enough. This is to keep himself and the world from knowing what an inept, depraved, compromised fraud he is.
“This is about his unfathomable desperation to avoid being humiliated. Donald Trump has taken us to war at the behest of Saudi Arabia and Israel. But that wouldn’t have been enough of a reason if doing so didn’t also coincide with his own self-interest.”
