Pete Hegseth’s vicious 5-word attack on “ungrateful” European allies

Several European leaders don’t want to get involved in the U.S war in Iran. On Thursday, War Secretary Pete Hegseth attacked their European allies for being ungrateful.

France, the UK, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands are only a few European countries that have refused to join the United States military campaign in Iran.

President Donald Trump and his administration have criticized Europe in several areas since taking office last year, and on Thursday, War Secretary Pete Hegseth did the same.

During a tense press briefing at the Pentagon, Hegseth made it clear that the U.S will continue its war in Iran. Several European leaders have questioned the U.S strategy and have warned that the conflict could spiral further.

But Pete Hegseth stated that America is not receiving the support it expects.

Moreover, he stated that the US is protecting global security on its own while others, meaning European countries, complain without getting involved.

“A regime like that refusing to abandon its nuclear ambitions is not just a regional problem, it’s a direct threat to America, to freedom and to civilisation in the world, the Middle East, our ungrateful allies in Europe,” Hegseth said. “Even segments of our own press should be saying one thing to President Trump: ‘Thank you’.”

The War Secretary continued by explaining that the military operation is meant to weaken Iran’s military power.

“Our objectives have not changed,” he continued. “We will defend our interests, we will defend our allies, and we will stop Iran from becoming a greater threat.”
