The ‘Who’s Line Is It Anyway’ star Colin Mochrie’s daughter came out as trans a while ago, and the comedian is nothing but supportive of his child. So when trolls made some comments, he cleared up all their confusion.

Colin Mochrie, who is famous from his time on the ‘Who’s Line Is It Anyway?’ a popular improvisational comedy TV show with the tagline “the show where everything’s made up and the points don’t matter, has always been supportive of his child.
When Kinley Mochrie came out as transgender to her father in April 2026, she was met with only support and love from him. The comedian is also incredibly vocal about his support of his daughter.
On her birthday, he wrote in a post, “Happy birthday to my lovely Daughter,” adding, “28 years old and everything we’ve ever hoped for in a child.”
A lot of the comments on the post were far from positive which prompted the actor to make a statement, he wrote in a subsequent post, “Thanks to the fans of this page for being supportive and human. To the trolls, my thoughts and prayers for your body for losing it’s mind and soul so tragically.”
People were impressed with his parenting and dedication to his daughter in the comments to the post. One person wrote in a comment, “Your daughter is very fortunate to have a great dad like you, you and your wife set a great example for the rest of us.”
Another added, “Thank you for supporting your lovely daughter and the trans community. I work with Homeless trans youth and the main reason they are homeless is related to family rejection. We need more parents who understand and love their children without condition. Thank you for being that kind of parent.”
A third person chimed in, writing, “Fellow parent of a trans child here…your family is BEAUTIFUL and you set the bar for parents everywhere to love their kids unconditionally!”
The comedian has been vocal about his unconditional love for his child. In an earlier interview he said, “You go through this thing ‘now my child has changed gender from male to female, does that mean that previous child is now gone?’ It’s the same kid [with a] different coat on.”
As for his daughter, Kinley said she was never afraid of her parents reaction. She said, “It took some time, but I knew that support and acceptance were on the other side. I was not worried about sex discrimination for a second.”
