White House issues bombshell response to ‘Trump is dead’ rumors spreading across social media

Speculation that Donald Trump had died started surfacing after the White House announced that Vice President JD Vance would hold a press briefing, but the administration has now pushed back against the rumors.

There is currently no official indication that the president has died or is unable to perform his duties.

The latest wave of speculation began after the White House Press Office announced that Vance would take the podium at 1 p.m. The announcement did not explain what the vice president planned to bring up or suggest that there was an emergency involving Trump.

“Vice President @JDVance will take the podium tomorrow at 1:00PM,” the official White House account said on X.

Rumors started circulating online

Vance was expected to lead his first White House press briefing since July.

That was apparently enough for some social media users to jump to an extraordinary conclusion.

Comments quickly began appearing beneath the announcement, with one person writing: “If it’s anything besides Trump dead get off we don’t wanna hear it,” according to VT.

Another joked: “If they say he’s dead I’m personally buying everyone drinks.”

Others went even further, posting fake breaking-news claims such as: “Trump found dead at 80.”

One user simply declared: “BREAKING: Donald Trump has died.”

Another wrote: “After all the deaths we’ve had lately, nothing would surprise me. Not even this.”

But nothing in the White House’s original announcement indicated that Trump had died.

With the rumors spreading online, the White House was contacted directly for a response.

The White House responded

Davis Ingle, a spokesperson for the administration, responded with criticism of those promoting the claims.

“Only glue-sniffing degenerates would obsessively push baseless conspiracy theories about President Trump, and that’s because they suffer from a severe, crippling disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome that has completely rotted their peanut-sized brains,” Ingle told IGV, according to VT.

He continued: “President Trump’s sharpness, unmatched energy, relentless work ethic and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the last administration when Democrats and the legacy media intentionally covered up Joe Biden’s serious mental and physical decline from the American people.”

Despite the posts implying otherwise, there is no official indication that Trump has died. He has repeatedly rejected claims that he is experiencing cognitive decline and has maintained that he is in excellent health.

For now, the latest claims circulating online remain unsupported by any official indication that the president has died or is unable to carry out his responsibilities.
