Like everyone else, Humphreys will receive a last meal. And his is certainly a big one. He was sentenced to death for the 2003 murders of Cyndi Williams, 33, and Lori Brown, 21.
The two women were working as real estate agents in Powder Springs, Georgia, when they were attacked. According to the Office of the Attorney General, Humphreys forced the women to give him their bank PINs before fatally shooting them. He then took their driver’s licenses, bank and credit cards, and withdrew more than $3,000 from their accounts.
Humphreys was arrested five days later in Wisconsin after fleeing Georgia. At his 2007 trial, he denied carrying out the killings, but a jury found him guilty and unanimously recommended the death penalty. He has now spent almost two decades on death row.

For now, though, the final meal request has been made — and it is a surprisingly large spread for what could be his last meal. According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, Humphreys has asked for a feast that includes barbecue beef brisket, pork ribs, a bacon double cheeseburger, French fries, buffalo wings, and a meat lovers pan pizza.
For dessert, he has requested both butter pecan ice cream and peach ice cream. He has also asked for two caffeine-free sodas.
The Georgia Department of Corrections confirmed the unusual final meal request in a statement released ahead of his scheduled execution.
In a comment to The Independent, a spokesperson for the Georgia Department of Corrections said, “Last meal requests are honored within reason, and he will receive his request as appropriate.”
His execution is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. on September 16 at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson.
Per the state, “There have been 76 men and one woman executed in Georgia since the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated the death penalty in 1976. If executed, Humphreys will be the 55th inmate put to death by lethal injection. There are presently 32 men and one woman under death sentence in Georgia.”
Delayed execution
However, Stacey Humphreys’ execution is not guaranteed. Earlier this month, his lawyer made another serious claim, arguing that one juror may have lied to get onto the jury.
According to the filing, the juror allegedly made it clear “long before the evidence had closed” that she would consider “no option other than a death sentence.” The latest legal move could once again delay Humphreys’ execution. And it wouldn’t be the first time.
Humphreys was originally scheduled to be executed last year. Still, that execution was delayed after his lawyers asked a judge to remove two members of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles from his clemency hearing.
Now, all eyes are on next week. If the execution goes ahead as planned, Humphreys will become the first person executed in Georgia since 2025.
