Tom Cruise had nothing but praise for Prince William and Kate Middleton as the royal couple joined him for the star-studded premiere of his latest movie, Digger.
The Prince and Princess of Wales made a glamorous return to the red carpet on Tuesday, September 22, attending the 73rd Royal Film Performance in Leicester Square alongside Tom Cruise and other famous faces, including David Beckham.
The event marked their first movie premiere appearance in four years when William and Kate attended the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in May 2022, according to Tyla.
Cruise, 64, appeared delighted to see the couple again and reportedly complimented William’s outfit as they met in front of the cameras. According to Hello! Magazine, the actor told the Prince of Wales, “Great jacket.”
Before William and Kate arrived, Cruise also made it clear that he holds the couple in high regard.
“I just love them. They are lovely people, and I have great respect for them,” he told reporters.

The actor later thanked the royal couple from the stage after the cast gathered inside the cinema to introduce Digger.
“We want to thank the Royal Highnesses for supporting this event, and just to tell them that we love them and we really appreciate what they do for the arts, for this country and for the world,” Cruise said.
The Royal Film Performance is a tradition in which members of the Royal Family attend a major movie screening in support of the British film industry. The event also raises money for the Film and TV Charity.
While Cruise wore a classic black tuxedo, complete with a cummerbund and bow tie, he added an unexpected touch with patent leather cowboy boots inspired by his character.
In Digger, Cruise plays eccentric billionaire oil tycoon Digger Rockwell, who finds himself racing to save the world after his reckless drilling causes a massive global environmental crisis.
William also opted for a black tuxedo, while Kate made a dramatic entrance in a floor-length purple Jenny Packham gown.
William and Kate also stopped to pose for photographs with David Beckham’s sons, Cruz and Romeo, who attended the premiere with their father.
