Husband of conjoined twin Abby Hensel forced to break silence on baby rumors after suspicious photos go viral

Abby Hensel’s husband, Josh Bowling, has said the viral TikTok account that appeared to confirm the conjoined twins had a baby is fake. He told People last September that neither of the twins has ever had a TikTok account, and he declined to say whether the family has welcomed a child.

In late August 2025, photos of conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel carrying a newborn in a car seat while running errands in Minnesota spread online. After the first photos, they were photographed with a baby again a couple of weeks later.

Then a TikTok account posted one of the photos with the caption “Blessed,” and some outlets reported it as the twins’ confirmation.

John confirmed the account didn’t belong to anyone in the family

Abby’s husband, Josh Bowling, told People the account wasn’t theirs. “We’re unsure who exactly runs it,” he said. He believes the person downloaded photos from his mother’s Facebook page, which is why the account only posts pictures already circulating.

He added that neither Abby nor Brittany has ever owned a TikTok account, and that the family made their Facebook accounts private some time ago.

At first the family ignored the account, assuming someone was trying to make quick money. That changed once media outlets began treating it as real. “I can definitely guarantee that it’s not us,” he said, adding that the account had been drawing “significant media attention we’re not wanting.”

Josh acknowledged “the extreme interest” in whether the family has welcomed a baby, but declined to comment. Neither he nor the twins has publicly said whether they have.

A private couple in the public eye

Abby married Josh, an army veteran and nurse, in Minnesota in November 2021, but the marriage only became public in 2024. The twins, now 36, are dicephalic twins with two heads on one body.

They rose to fame after appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show at the age of six in 1996, and later starred in documentaries. They earned degrees at Bethel University and work as elementary school teachers, and they live in Minnesota with Josh.
