Few things cut into my heart more than seeing animals suffer. For me, it’s simply unthinkable to treat a living being in the way people sometimes think it’s ok. Thankfully, there are those who continue to strive to protect those that cannot fend for themselves. Here’s a story that depicts just that. A dog rescue teams in Bulgaria received a call about a dog in such dire shape that the poor creature was dying. Without hesitation, they went out to find the abandoned dog. What they saw broke their hearts – but also led them to feel determined about saving its life.
Even at first glance, they could see that the dog would not survive without immediate help.
If she had any chance of survival, she had to be taken to a vet, and fast.
Life on the street had left deep and painful traces all over her body.
Despite her terrible physical shape, she refused to give up.
Her rescuers decided to her Khaleesi, due to her strong will and fighting spirit.
Despite her difficult life, Khaleesi was gentle with her rescuers. They became good friends.
They put one of her broken legs in a cast.
With time, her fur began to grow back.
Incredible transformation, is it not?
