6 guys start singing in church – seconds later, I’ve got goose bumps

It’s been more than two centuries since English poet John Newton wrote his most famous work back in 1799.

Wars have been fought and forgotten, borders have been drawn and redrawn, and people have come and gone.

But Newton’s song “Amazing Grace” still feels as fresh as the day he penned it.

Originally written as a hymn, the song has been reinterpreted and reimagined a number of times over the years.

But in my book, Peter Hollens and the a cappella country group Home Free’s version of “Amazing Grace” is one of the best ever made.

Peter Hollens, a pop artist with more than 1.5 million followers on YouTube, has performed a cappella covers since 1999, and the five members of Home Free have been going strong since 2000.

Together, Hollens and Home Free perform a wonderful, evocative version of this immortal classic that gave me goose bumps as soon as they started harmonizing.

I hope you like it as much as I did!

Please share this stunning performance on Facebook if you also think that more people should hear this magical song!
