The recent earthquake which hit Mexico left more than 200 dead and countless people missing.
Rescuers have still not stopped fighting to find and rescue more people and animals.
But in the midst of this terrible tragedy, there are still moments of hope and joy.
Here is story which is an example of just that.
Max, a 3-year-old dog, was trapped under the rubble after the recent earthquake in Mexico. Max had been trapped under a demolished building in a popular area in the middle of Mexico City, according to SDPnews.
Luckily, in the aftermath of the earthquake there have been so many volunteers who have not given up in trying to find more people and animals. The hope is that there are more alive to be rescued.
A fighter
There is no doubt that Max is a real fighter. The dog must have decided that he was going to fight and survive to continue to enjoy life.
The reason? Well, he endured 9 days on his own under the rubble of a demolished building during the earthquake on September 19, SDPNews writes.
After many days of struggling without any food, Max was finally rescued by volunteers and members of the Mexican Navy.
The rescue
Max’s face when they finally got him out of the wreckage is wonderful. Talk about pure joy!
A big thanks to these people for doing their best to save Max! They are true heroes!
