The 47-year-old Maroon 5 frontman attended the 12th annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony on April 18, where he shared some PDA with his wife, Behati Prinsloo.
Levine appeared clean-shaven, wearing a classic black suit paired with a pastel blue button-down shirt. Prinsloo stood beside him, smiling in a vintage grey Plein Sud gown.
While the couple looked united, much of the online attention focused on Levine’s appearance, and one question that seemed to be echoed by many people was about how they are still together, considering the past controversy of Adam’s inappropriate messages to other women.
“What happened to Adam Levine!? Could it really be true that treating your wife badly adds 40 years to you” one person wrote.
“Adam Levine… the milk has spoiled,” another added.
“so she actually stayed with him???” another person asked.
“she looked divine and he’s just… there” another quipped.
Levine and Prinsloo married in 2014 and share three children together.
The controversy dates back to 2022, when Instagram model Sumner Stroh accused Levine of having an affair.
“Essentially, I was having an affair with a man who’s married to a Victoria’s Secret model,” she said in a viral TikTok video. “At the time, you know, I was young. I was naïve and, quite frankly, I feel exploited.”
Stroh claimed the relationship lasted “about a year” and said she had private messages to support her claims.
“That body of yours is absurd,” allegedly sent from Levine, was one of the lines that quickly went viral and was widely mocked online.
Another message allegedly showed Levine asking whether she would be okay with him naming his future child after her.
Levine later denied having an affair but admitted he “crossed the line.”
“I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner,” said the lead singer for Maroon 5.
“In certain instances, it became inappropriate,” he added.
He described the situation as the “greatest mistake” he could make and said he had taken “proactive steps to remedy this with [his] family.”
“My wife and my family is all I care about in this world,” Levine said. “I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together.”
