Brooke Shields flexed her timeless beauty in a playful photoshoot where she’s seen with her two daughters, Rowan and Grier, in matching swimwear.
“Have you aged at all since Blue Lagoon?” asks one fan of the 59-year-old model who appeared in the 1980 coming-of-age film when she was only 14.
Other online users gushed over the trio of “beauties” while some spotted a disturbing detail on Shields’ leg and begged to know, “What happened?”

In February 2021, Brooke Shields – who at 13 landed her first leading role in the film Pretty Baby where she appeared in nude scenes – shared an Instagram post with her 2.1million followers.
In the clip, Shields, 55 at the time, is seen in a walking the halls of a hospital, held up by a set of crutches.
“Broke my femur. Beginning to mend. No matter what your challenge is, make a positive choice, for yourself, to move forward,” the 59-year-old captions the post.
Later the star of Endless Love explains she was recovering after falling off a balance board at a New York City gym and breaking her femur a month earlier.
In a March 2021 interview with People, Shields says of her accident, “It felt like it was all in slow motion. And then I just started screaming.” She continues, “Sounds came out that I’ve never heard before.”
The Princeton grad said she needed surgery to insert two metal rods, “one from the top of my hip down, and another across into the hip socket.”
But when things went awry and the broken portion of her right femur popped out, she was in for a second surgery to add five rods and a metal plate to anchor it all in place.
But it didn’t slow down the resilient star of Law and Order: SVU.
Matching swimwear
That same summer, the mom of two is seen frolicking on the beach day with her two daughters, Rowan, 21, and Grier, 18, who she shares with her husband Chris Henchy (married in 2001).
The three ladies were wearing matching gingham style swimsuits and posed for images on the beach in Southampton, N.Y.
Shields invited fans to join the fun by sharing one of the photos on Instagram, in a post she captions, “soaking it all in.”
Commenting on Shields’ timeless beauty, one fan writes, “Wow! Have you aged at all since Blue Lagoon?”
“Y’all so cute,” shares a second while a third adds, “Omg….beautiful daughters and [you] look amazing!!!”
Empowering women
Meanwhile other fans noticed a disturbing detail on the actor’s leg.
“What happened?” one fan asks of the long scar along her thigh.
“I think the doctor(s) did a fantastic job. Brooke is as beautiful as ever,” offers a cyber fan, one of the many who quickly figured out the scar was from the surgery to fix her broken femur.
Another praises the star of Mother of the Bride for having the courage to embrace her scar. “Thank you so much Brooke for posing with your scar. I have had the same scar since I was 17 and have never put on a bathing suit or worn a short dress because of that scar.” The comment continues, “Because you posed and showed your scar, it gave me the confidence to finally put on a bathing suit and go to the beach. I owe that to you. You have empowered women with scars. Thank you!!
And a third shares, “Scars are proof of living. BATTLE SCARS. NO SHAME IN THAT.”
Fancy footwear
In June 2024, Shields had double foot toe surgery and three days later, she walked the red carpet at the Tony Awards.
The Lipstick Jungle actor – presenting an award at the star-studded event – was wearing a gorgeous lemon-colored sequined gown styled with gold jewelry, a matching clutch, and left her long brown locks flowing freely over her back.
And she completed the look with a pair of matching yellow Crocs.
The original, clunky clog style.
“Red carpet three days post foot surgery…what’s a girl to do?! Wear Crocs. That’s what you’re to do! What an honor to present at the Tony Awards last night. Such an incredible evening,” she captions a Facebook post where she’s seen showing off her unexpected footwear.
