Cameron Diaz, the 53-year-old actress who was once one of Hollywood’s most in-demand leading ladies, recently returned to the spotlight and has been busy promoting her latest project after stepping away from acting for nearly a decade.
Diaz famously paused her career after starring in the 2014 film Annie, choosing to focus on her personal life. She made her comeback in the 2025 action-comedy Back in Action alongside Jamie Foxx.
Her newest film, Outcome, released this month, sees her starring alongside Keanu Reeves, Matt Bomer, and Jonah Hill.
While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 30 to promote the dark comedy, a short clip of Cameron Diaz resurfaced online, sparking debate.
In the now-viral moment, she gives a slow head turn and a slight nod to the camera. The clip posted on social media caused a wave of reactions, with some users comparing Diaz to Glenn Close.
“Jesus. They turned her into Glenn Close!” one person wrote.
Others speculated about possible cosmetic procedures.

Diaz has spoken openly about her decision to step away from Hollywood to focus on her family with husband Benji Madden. The couple, who married in 2015, share two children.
Over the course of two decades, she appeared in 38 films before taking a break from the industry.
She has credited Jamie Foxx with helping bring her back to acting.
“I am back all thanks to Jamie,” she said on The Graham Norton Show. “I had 10 years of not paying attention to anything; not accepting any advances, and then I got this script and thought that maybe it was time.”
“If I was going to leave my family for 10 hours a day I wanted to do it with the most talented man in the entertainment business,” she added.
Speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in 2024, Diaz explained that stepping away “felt like the right thing for me to reclaim my own life.”
“It really comes to what are you passionate about? For me, it was to build my family,” she said.
