Celine Dion puts on impromptu performance backstage at the Grammys amid battle with stiff person syndrome

Not only did Celine Dion make a surprise appearance at this year’s Grammys to present Album of the Year, but she also shocked many with an impromptu performance backstage at the award show.

Dion, 55, who is currently battling stiff person syndrome, has made few public appearances since disclosing her diagnosis in December 2022.

In the clip, Dion and Grammy-nominated artist Sonyaé groove to the sweet sound of each other’s voices.

The video goes on to show highlights from the rest of Sonyaé’s night at the Grammys, including another clip of Dion showcasing her incredible talent.

The “My Heart Will Go On” singer’s surprise appearance at the Grammys marks her first public outing since November when she attended an NHL game with her children.

Despite previous reports that “her voice is just not coming back the way that would allow her to perform or record again,’ it sounds like Dion is fully capable of hitting those notes were all used to hearing.

Of course it’s another matter if she has the stamina to put on a full concert – after announcing her diagnosis she canceled the remaining dates of her tour.

Celine, we’ll love you no matter what!
