Actor Elliot Page plays Sinon, an Ithacan soldier, in The Odyssey. But despite appearing in one of the biggest films of the year, there haven’t been many requests or offers for new roles, according to the actor.
The Odyssey is a 2026 epic action fantasy film and one of the biggest releases of the year. It was written and directed by Christopher Nolan, who produced it with his wife, Emma Thomas.
Elliot Page is one of the actors appearing in the film. Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson are some of the other famous faces who appear in the movie.
But despite being part of one of the year’s biggest films, Page says the offers haven’t been rolling in.
Hasn’t gotten any new offers
During an interview with On Film…With Kevin McCarthy, Page was asked what comes next, as the host said: “I imagine you’re getting a zillion calls after this movie.”
But according to Page, that is not the case at all: “No, Kevin, I’m not. So, let’s… if someone wants to call me…”
However, even though he doesn’t know exactly what the future holds, Page said he would love to do “good work,” and that at this point in his career, it feels like he could.
Before transitioning, Page worked with Nolan on Inception in 2010.
“I don’t know if this is weird or too personal, but when you do ask me about [Inception], I had such a great time being in that movie,” he said on the podcast, according to LADbible.
“I had such a great time working with Christopher, but I was also personally really uncomfortable.
“But I feel now, because that’s removed, and I don’t have to deal with that when I’m acting in my performances, I am like… I feel like I could maybe do some of my best work now.”
“Meant so much to me”
When Page spoke during a Comic-Con panel with Josh Horowitz last year, he said that working with Nolan after transitioning was even better than Inception.
“I was so excited to be thought of and to be asked to come back to work him.
“To come back now, as you can imagine, being more comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable.
“To get to have a Chris Nolan experience again now meant so much to me selfishly.”
The star described filming The Odyssey as a “full circle moment.”
“I think that just feeling more embodied and connected, that’s what weirdly lets you let go more, you know?” he said, according to the outlet.
“Knowing yourself more and embodying yourself more, weirdly, lets you let go more.”
Despite appearing in another Christopher Nolan film and describing The Odyssey as a full-circle moment, Page says the calls for his next role have yet to come — leaving the actor openly inviting anyone interested in working with him to pick up the phone.
