Fans in shock over how Fabio looks now, aged 65

Fabio Lanzoni became a pop culture sensation in the early ’90s, mainly due to his status as the quintessential romance novel cover star.

Born in Milan, Italy, the muscular blonde model has managed to maintain his iconic physique through a combination of a strict diet, a rigorous gym routine, and some unique sleeping habits.

At 65, Fabio continues to look camera-ready, and was recently seen near his Los Angeles home wearing just a white bathrobe and a pair of black Crocs. His signature long, flowing blonde hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, and he wore the plush robe cinched at the waist, revealing glimpses of his still-muscular chest as he strolled by one of his collectible cars.

Fabio’s commitment to his health is unwavering. He has always avoided alcohol and drugs to maintain his shape. “I have the most beautiful life, I am healthy, I am in good shape, I eat well, I work out every day,” he told People magazine in 2021. He also credits his youthful appearance to sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber, which he claims “reverses the aging process.”

Despite having graced the covers of 1,300 romance novels, Fabio is not eager to come out of retirement. “It would have to be a big pay day,” he recently commented. However, he does have some ambitious ideas for his next big move in the industry.

“Remember that show ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous?’ With Robin Leach. I wanna do something but a better version, with the most beautiful of everything, you know?” Fabio said. “Cars, motorcycles, and yachts. Beautiful places, resorts, islands, you know, incredible places around the world. The most beautiful watches. The most beautiful of everything. Cause people always love beautiful things. I know I do.”

These days, Fabio also enjoys reflecting on his storied past with a sense of humor. “You can’t take life seriously,” he said. “You’ll be a miserable bastard if you take your life seriously. Let’s have some fun. Let’s laugh. I feel sorry sometimes for all these comedians. Now they have to be so politically correct. I mean life, it sometimes can be very harsh. Sometimes it can be beautiful. But you know, life is truth. Don’t get so sensitive.”

It clear that it is Fabio’s outlook on life and his refusal to take things too seriously that makes him an icon in his own right. Plus, I’m not complaining about his good looks either!
