Robyn Bernard, 64, best known for her role on General Hospital, has died.
The former soap opera star was found dead in an “open field behind a business” in San Jacinto, California, according to a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
An autopsy was completed Wednesday, but so far no cause of death has been released. Toxicology reports are pending. At this time police do not suspect foul play.
Born in Gladewater, Texas, Bernard first appeared on-screen in 1981 in Diva. She would go on to have guest roles on several TV series including: Simon & Simon, Whiz Kids, The Facts of Life and Tour of Duty.
However, it wouldn’t be until 1984 when she got her big break. She was cast as Terry Brock on General Hospital. Bernard, who played the daughter of the villainous D.L. Brock, appeared in 145 episodes until her exit from the series in 1990.
Bernard also starred in several foreign language films and television series, including the 1986 French movie Betty Blue, which earned an Oscar nomination for best foreign film.
According to IMDB, her last acting credit was in 2002 when she played a psychologist in the film Voices from High School.
