For weeks, fans have been worried about actor Jamie Foxx, who was hospitalized last month from an undisclosed medical complication.
While the 55-year-old Django Unchained star’s daughter Corinne shared that Foxx received “quick action and great care” and was “already on his way to recovery,” rumors have swirled that the actor’s condition was far graver than stated.
However, Corinne recently took to Instagram to share a reassuring update about Jamie Foxx’s health, claiming that he’s doing just fine.
“Preparing for the worst” rumors
An anonymous source stirred speculation about Jamie Foxx by saying that, despite what his family is saying, he’s in serious condition and that his friends and family were preparing for the worst.
“Jamie’s people are saying he’s doing OK and improving, while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems — but he wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK,” the source told RadarOnline.
“His friends and family are hoping for the best — but preparing for the worst!” the source added.
A source previously told the outlet that Foxx’s condition was “touch and go for days” and that he was “very lucky to be alive.” Another source stated that the actor was suffering from high blood pressure.
A tweet from actress Nia Long further stirred speculation about Foxx’s condition: “My heart is heavy this morning,” she wrote. “Praying for our brother Jamie Foxx. My love and prayers run deep for you and your loved ones.”
Earlier this month, Foxx’s friend Charlie Mack also shared a post on Instagram that asked for prayers for the actor, implying that he was in serious condition.
Daughter claims Foxx is doing fine
While fans have been understandably worried about Foxx’s health over the past few weeks, his daughter Corinne shot down the rumors on Instagram.
Corinne said it was “sad to see how the media runs wild,” revealing that Jamie Foxx has “been out of the hospital for weeks.”
Not only that, he’s apparently healthy enough to play sports: “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!” Corinne wrote.
She added that they had “an exciting work announcement coming next week.” “Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!” she wrote.
For his part, Jamie Foxx broke his silence once earlier this month, thanking fans on Instagram: “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”
