Mark Consuelos and his wife, Kelly Ripa, host the morning show Live With Kelly and Mark. The couple has been hosting together since 2023, when Ryan Secrest announced that he would be leaving the job.
Ever since the couple began hosting together, their chemistry from real life really does translate well on screen. And it seems, in their latest episode, they masked an awkward moment perfectly.

During yesterday’s broadcast for Live With Kelly and Mark, an awkward moment was expertly handled by both Consuelos and Kelly Ripa.
Kelly began the show with telling the audience, “We’ve got a huge show today, and I mean huge.” This when the gaffe was revealed proved to be perfect timing. Because during filming Mark Consuelos was surprised to discover that the zipper on his pants had been down.
After the couple told viewers which special guests would be on te show, Ripa teased them by saying, “The moment you’ve been waiting for.” This marked the beginning of the fan favorite, ‘Stump Mark game’ that they play on the show.
While the game’s graphics appeared on screen, the couple could be heard having an interesting conversation.
“Wait, did anybody notice that?” a shocked Ripa asked her husband and cohost.
Consuelos just smiled and told her “No.”
“You just noticed that?” she asked her husband.
Consuelos then faced the camera to tell the audience, “My fly was down the whole time.” Coming clean about what the two of them had been whispering about! You can watch the hilarious moment on YouTube.
The couple made another joke and continued on with the show as usual. They truly are expert hosts, effortlessly passing through awkward moments.
Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa’s effortless coordination and chemistry come from their long marriage to one another. The couple married in 1996 after they met for a screen test for All My Children in 1995.
Earlier this week, the couple revealed another awkward moment they had. Ripa revealed how she once ran into Consuelo’s former girlfriends in Florida.
“When you roll up to the drive-thru in Florida and the woman handing you your lunch says, ‘I used to date your husband,’ you don’t need to know anything else,” she laughed at the memory.
It is honestly so wholesome to see how the couple adores one another even after so many years together. After Ryan Seacrest left, people were eagerly waiting to see who would join Ripa onscreen and be able to match the energy the two of them had.
But it seems like their partnership is good in real life and on screen both!
