See Kate Middleton for the first time since undergoing abdominal surgery in January

Kate Middleton is alive and well.

The Princess of Wales has surfaced for the first time since mid-January when she underwent abdominal surgery. At the time, Kensington Palace said she would not return to her royal duties until Easter.

Despite internet rumors, she has kept a low profile.

Middleton was spotted around 9 a.m. Monday in the passenger seat of a black vehicle driven by her mother Carole Middleton. The two were seen just outside of London.

Her appearance comes just days after rumors of her whereabouts began to get so out of control, her team had to issue another statement on her condition.

“Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates,” her rep told Page Six. “That guidance stands.”

Prior to Monday’s sighting, the princess had not been seen in public since December 25 when she attended a Christmas service.

In mid-January the palace announced the 42-year-old mother of three was scheduled to undergo planned abdominal surgery. On January 16 she was admitted to the London Clinic for the procedure.

Following the procedure the palace released a statement.

“The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in the hospital for 10 to 14 days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

“She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private,” the statement continued.

However, the palace’s statement did not stop curious minds from wondering what happened with Middleton, especially after King Charles announced he had been diagnosed with cancer, Prince William did not attend a memorial service for his late godfather due to “personal matters, and now Queen Camilla has taken a “private break” from royal duties.

Whatever may be plaguing the royal family, we hope they are able to get the help they need.

In the meantime, we’re glad to see Kate Middleton out and about. Hopefully it’ll put some of those rumors to rest.
