Black Sabbath’s leading man, Ozzy Osbourne, passed away at the age of 76 years old in July of this year. The singer had been long suffering from Parkinson’s and succumbed to death after a hearot attack.
Now his widow, Sharon Osbourne, gave a candid interview when she appeared in Piers Morgan: Uncensored. She talked of her life after losing Ozzy and everything she has been going through and what has stopped her from ‘going with Ozzy.’
In a heartbreaking interview, Sharon revealed that the reason she was still around was because of her children, Aimee, 42, Kelly, 41, and Jack, 40. She said they were the reason she was clinging to life because they were around for her.
“I would have just gone with Ozzy… Oh, yeah, definitely, I’ve done everything I wanted to do…,” she shared. She added, “But they’ve been, they’ve been, excuse me, unbelievably, just magnificent with me, all three of them.”
The interviewer then asked the grieving widow, “They’re the reason, and their kids are the reason why you’ve got to hang in there?”
Sharon responded, “Years ago, when I had one of my mental breakdowns, I went into a little facility to help with my head, and there were two girls over there.”
“They didn’t know each other, but they were in there, each mother had committed suicide, and I saw the state that these two young women were in and what it had done to their lives, and I thought, I will never, ever, ever do that to my kids,” she recalled.
She shared that while the aftermath of Ozzy’s death had caused her incredible grief, she had come to terms with it and even referred to her grief as her ‘friend.’
She said in the interview, “Grief has now become my friend… It’s very weird to me, you know, when you love someone that much and you’re grieving for them, it’s what I have to live with, and I’ll get used to it. I will, I have to, you know, things move on.”
Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne were married for 43 years before Ozzy’s death. The couple have made headlines for years together, their bond being written about thousands of times over the years.
She shared how she has been feeling since losing Ozzy, “You know, each day I go, ‘What am I going to do with myself? What the f**k am I going to do?'”
She shared that one of the ways she helps ease her pain is by visiting his grave at the family estate to speak to him and share her thoughts with him.
“Everybody goes down there and has a chat with him,” she shared. “I burn several candles in the house, which are always replaced. It’s never without candles, by his pictures and just in the house.”
“It’s an ache that you wake up with, and you can’t get rid of that ache. It’s like a big hole inside of you, and the kids feel exactly the same way, and it’s just, what do you do? It’s inevitable that it happens to all of us,” she revealed about her grief.
We are sending our best wishes to Sharon Osbourne and her family as they navigate this grief. Share this with other fans of the late rockstar and his family.
