Tom Selleck reportedly had trouble on the set of ‘Blue Bloods’, was forced to use stunt double

As soon as filming is able to resume on the set of Blue Bloods, Tom Selleck is ready to play Frank Reagan.

Earlier this summer fans grew concerned when RadarOnline suggested the Magnum P.I. alum was having difficulty filming his scenes.

Supposedly the pain was too much to bear for the 78-year-old actor and needed to use a stunt double on set.

Selleck’s rep recently responded to the claims denying the reports.

According to RadarOnline’s source, Selleck had been in “a lot of pain and agony” due to arthritis.

“He’s been to doctors and has learned techniques to alleviate the pain, but it’s a disease that isn’t going to go away,” the source said. “He’s learning to adjust to it as best as he can.”

They also alleged a stunt double had been hired to perform ordinary scenes for Selleck.

The actor’s rep insists he is “fit and vigorous.”

During a 2022 interview with TV Insider, Selleck said he was “game” for another two seasons of Blue Bloods.

Blue Bloods, which premiered in 2010, is one of many shows currently not in production due to the ongoing WGA writers’ strike and SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike.

Suppose the allegations are true, so what? We all age, and as we grow older our bodies begin to work differently than they used to. Why should we make fun of people who may not be able to perform at the same caliber as they did years ago?
