Brad Pitt remains hopeful that he can reestablish a connection with his three eldest children, though the kids themselves have no interest in talking with him at present.
That’s according to a report in OK Magazine that suggests A-lister Pitt is keen on making amends following his tumultuous split from Angelina Jolie.
The article in question claims that three of the couple’s children, Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 18, haven’t spoken to their father in a long, long time. It also states that Pitt is holding out hope that he can amend this in the future.
That Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren’t on friendly terms with one another anymore is no great secret.
Famously dubbed ‘Brangelina’ in the media, the superstars fell in love on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, embarking on a romance that stole headlines all over the world.
In 2016, however, Jolie filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. She also moved to request sole custody of the pair’s six children, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Vivienne and Knox.
At present, Brad’s custody agreement permits him to spend time with his three youngest children – Shiloh, 17, and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Maddox is said to have testified against Pitt in court after an infamous altercation that took place on a flight in 2016. Pax, meanwhile, made headlines after slamming his father as a ‘f***ing awful human being’ in a resurfaced Father’s Day rant.
For her part, Zahara is believed to have dropped ‘Pitt’ from her surname while she attends college.
According to OK! Magazine, an insider said of Brad’s three eldest children: “They don’t speak to him anymore.
“It’s pretty awkward, because their siblings have cut them out of their lives. But he’s holding out hope that they’ll eventually come around.”
Earlier this month it was reported that Pitt has set his sights on marrying girlfriend Ines de Ramon, described as his first proper romance since Angelina.
The Troy star is said to have started introducing the 32-year-old as his girlfriend.
“He introduces [Ines] as his girlfriend,” an insider PEOPLE. “It’s great to see him in a good place. Ines makes him very happy.”
As per RadarOnline, one source revealed that the actor plans on tying the knot.
“Brad is head-over-heels in love with Ines and wants to marry her,” said the source.
That said, he is mindful of the face that his previous marriage not only caused him a deal of anguish and pain, but also cost him dearly financially.
“Negotiations have been excruciating, and the legal fees have been astronomical,” the source said of Brad and Angelina’s ongoing battle.
“He couldn’t survive another divorce like that. These have been the worst years of his life,” they concluded.
