Grieving husband shares final text messages with wife before she was murdered at Tulsa medical center

Beau Glenn, the husband of one of the Tulsa mass shooting victims, has released the final messages he exchanged with his wife before she was killed.

“We have an active shooter.”

On June 1, a gunman walked into the Natalie building of the St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a plan to kill the doctor who previously performed back surgery on him and “anyone who stood in his way.”

Four people – two doctors, a receptionist, and a patient – were killed. The suspect, Michael Lewis, also died as the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to reports the gunman, killed Michael Love and Amanda Glenn as they attempted to stop the shooting.

‘I’m so scared’

Officials believe the shooting was over in less than a minute, but it was long enough for Amanda to message her husband Beau and for Beau to respond.

“Honey you need to get under your f***ing desk or in your bosses office. what the f*** lock the doors,” he wrote, according to screenshots shared by Fox 23.

“He shooting,” she replied. “I am.”

She messaged him two more times to inform him that 911 was not answering and the name of her building.

‘911 is not answering’

Beau called 911, and told Amanda how to keep safe.

“Keep under your desk pull your chair in”

He kept messaging her, but he did not receive a reply. Amanda had been killed.

“Baby I need to know that you’re okay”

Although the final text messages are personal and gut-wrenching, Beau said he wants others to read them.

“I want everyone to know the last words we had and why it’s so important to love one another and always say I love you anytime you’re leaving for any reason,” he said. “I need everyone to understand how important in life family and friends truly are.”

A GoFundMe has been created to help the family. Amanda leaves behind her husband and two teenage sons.

It is devastating to read through Amanda and Beau’s final messages to each other, but I think we all need a reminder of how precious life can be and how quickly it can be taken away.
