Kevin Costner’s wife tearfully responds to claims she’s dating actor’s friend in shock twist

The ongoing court battle between Kevin Costner and his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner took a shock twist when the latter was forced to deny that she’s now dating her husband’s friend.

Costner and Baumgartner currently find themselves in a divorce battle over the former’s alleged $400 million fortune. While there have been many twists and turns in the tale since Baumgartner unexpectedly filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage back in early May, the latest reports coming from RadarOnline make for eyebrow-raising reading indeed.

It’s said that Baumgartner took the stand in a Santa Barbara courtroom yesterday to deny allegations leveled at her by Costner that claim she’s dating the actor’s friend, Josh Connor, as well as clarify whether or not Connor gave her $20k.

The fires of speculation were stoked last month when Baumgartner, 49, was photographed with Connor in Hawaii.

Yellowstone star Costner then poured fuel on said fires after claiming that his wife was being given $20k by “her boyfriend”.

In court documents filed on Wednesday, Costner is thought to have been referring to Connor (though he never mentioned him by name) when he said: “Her boyfriend recently gave her $20,000.”

As a result, Baumgartner was asked about her and Connor’s July vacation to Hawaii, as well as whether or not he was her boyfriend. She answered “No.”

The handbag designer went on to concede that Connor had given her $20,000, testifying that she’d then given half of the sum to her mother and returned the other half to Connor.

Following the initial, tense period after she filed for divorce, Baumgartner is set to move into a new rental property in Montecito, California that will cost $40k a month.

The conflict between the warring couple escalated earlier this year when it was said that Baumgartner had refused to leave the family mansion in Santa Barbara, California, despite a prenup clause reportedly requiring that she do so.

During Baumgartner’s testimony earlier this week, reports claim that Costner could be seen pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. One eyewitness told ET Online that the actor appeared “irritated when Christine’s attorney said that he should pay for both attorney fees.”

The latest in their court battle is that Costner has been temporarily ordered to pay an eye-watering $129,000 per month in child support to his wife, as opposed to the $63,209 per month he proposed as being reasonable to meet the needs of their children.

As per Costner, anything “greater than that amount is simply disguised spousal support.”

It’s always sad to see people going through messy divorces. We hope Kevin and Christine can move forward with as little trouble as possible.
