When a large fire broke out in Henry’s Creek, Idaho last summer, Jeanette and Bruce Empey feared the worst.
The massive fire had already destroyed 50,000 acres of land, and the couple looked on with horror as it threatened to swallow up their entire ranch.
The couple prayed and got ready to pack their bags and flee—but then, suddenly, Bruce and the couple’s son witnessed something incredible.
They could hardly believe their eyes.
Deep inside the flames, Bruce and his son suddenly saw a mysterious angelic figure appear among the clouds of smoke.
The figure seemed to move toward the family’s house—and luckily, Bruce managed to take a couple pictures of the strange phenomenon.
The family was convinced that the figure was some kind of supernatural figure that came to help firefighters fight the terrible fire.
Jeanette dubbed the photo “The Fireman’s Guardian” and posted it on Facebook, where it quickly went viral.
But that wasn’t the end of the story. The next morning, the Empeys saw that their prayers had been answered—the fire had left their ranch untouched, even though the flames came within a few meters of it.
Whether or not the mysterious figure was a supernatural phenomenon, we’ll never know.
But one thing is certain: the Empeys’ ranch was miraculously spared from the fire.
“It is as if Heavenly Father wrapped his arms around this area. We feel so blessed,” Jeanette Caldwell Empey wrote on Facebook.
