Preemies get into the festive spirit celebrating their 1st Halloween in adorable costumes

Halloween may be the scariest time of the year, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be the darn cutest at the same time.

That’s certainly proven the case at the NICU at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, where the preemies were gifted Halloween costumes donated by the Preemies of the Carolinas.

Don’t worry, pictures of the preemies have surfaced online and, well, they’re just about as irresistible as you might imagine.

NICU at Spartanburg Regional was celebrating its 2nd annual Halloween party and posted a series of photos to mark the occasion.

“The NICU stay is never easy for the families,” they wrote. “But it is our hope that this was a bright spot in their day! Our handmade costume donations from Edie and her group from Preemies of the Carolinas.”

Premiers of the Carolinas is an organization founded in 2015, aiming to provide children with homemade items including hats and blankets. They currently service eight neonatal intensive care unites (NICU) with these garments made from the heart, whilst also boasting countless volunteers helping the effort.
