Beyoncé’s half-brother Nixon, 13, was raised in a trailer, asks why his big sister doesn’t love him

Stage siblings to the megastar Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowlands and Michelle Williams, know all too well what it’s like being destiny’s forgotten child.

The songstress is a natural scene stealer and now, her half-brother Nixon is experiencing what it’s like to be the less important sibling of the superstar.

The 13-year-old boy, who shares the same dad as Beyoncé, is asking why the singer “doesn’t love me.”

Beyonce Knowles was born to record executive Mathew Knowles and fashion designer Tina Knowles, who were married in 1980, one year before the megastar was born.

Working with her dad–who also managed little sister Solange–Beyoncé rose to superstardom in the late 1990s with the Grammy Award-winning Destiny’s Child, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.

An actor, dancer and songwriter, the singer of “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)” went solo in 2003, her first solo recording with the rap legend Shawn Carter, known professionally as Jay-Z, whom she married in 2008.

Music royalty, the couple that has a combined 300 million records sold, have three children: Blue Ivy (born 2012), and twins, daughter Rumi and son Sur, born in 2017.

Now 11, Blue Ivy–dubbed the “princess of pop”–is already earning acclaim as a singer and dancer, as the youngest to be credited with a Grammy win for her contributions on Beyoncé’s hit song, “Brown Skin Girl.”

The young girl is living an enviable life of luxury, and now she’s lending her talents to her award-winning mom’s Renaissance World Tour, which is estimated to bring in $1 billion.

The pop princess is only two years younger than her uncle Nixon, who lives in a modest house only 10 miles from his big sister’s $200 million Malibu mansion. According to TMZ, the couple paid “a king’s ransom” for the home, the most expensive ever sold in California.

But Nixon has never met Blue Ivy. Nor has he met Mathew Knowles, the father he shares with “Survivor” singer.

It was in 2011 that Beyoncé ditched Matthew as her manager. In a statement, she said, “I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother manage me and own their own businesses. They are hardworking entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps.” She continued, “He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me.”

This was the same year her parents Mathew and Tina, who were married for 31 years, divorced, the latter saying the marriage was “insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities,” which “prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

What wasn’t mentioned in the court documents was the paternity suit against Mathew, that was filed by Alexsandra Wright, claiming the baby she was carrying belonged to him.

Wright, a 52-year-old Canadian actor, had been involved in a two-year affair with Mathew, 71, who at the time was still married to Tina.

“I was not conflicted about the situation because his marriage was not a functioning marriage,” Wright said, adding that in June 2009, the pair rented two beach homes in San Diego to celebrate the upcoming birth of Mathew’s new child, whom he wanted to name David.

But the baby, born in 2010, was called Nixon and after the paternity test confirmed Mathew was the father, Beyonce’s parent’s split the next year.

Wright says the “Crazy in Love” singer has made no attempts to contact Nixon, and claims he said about his sister, “[He asks], ‘Why doesn’t that person love me?’” She explained the boy is asked about Beyoncé at school and frequently the photo target of the singer’s fans. “Nixon has never had the luxury of being a normal child. Being related to someone famous smothers kids like him, and they lose their identity…I tell him, ‘fame does not equal happiness, so never covet what someone else has.’”

In 2014 Knowles had his child support payments slashed due to his dwindling income, leaving his son and former lover destitute.

Wright was bankrupted by the court battle and needed help from a homeless charity. The woman and her boy lived in a trailer for a while and were then taken in by her actor friend Shar Jackson (Moesha).

Wright–now a Global Collective CEO who lives with Nixon in a five bedroom LA home– explained that it’s difficult to see people living as billionaires, mostly knowing that for Blue Ivy’s first birthday, she was gifted a $64,000 Barbie doll and had a playroom worth $1 million.

Wright works 16 hours a day to make ends meet and Nixon, who’s “quiet and reserved,” plays games on a $300 Nintendo Switch.

Wright said: “I think Beyoncé is a lovely person and she has never done anything to harm me. I don’t want anything from them. I just want my son to be free and to have a happy life,” adding that she believes the siblings will soon connect on social media.

This relationships between family members sound very complicated and while we don’t believe Beyoncé has an obligation to financially care for little Nixon, we do think it would be nice if she reached out to her baby brother!

The financial responsibility here falls on the father, Mathew Knowles, and we hope the young boy is getting the care he needs.
