Brooklyn Beckham is now breaking his silence on the bitter family feud.
In a lengthy Instagram post, he accuses his own mother of ruining his wedding.
Speculation about a growing rift between Brooklyn and the rest of the Beckham family has been intensifying for weeks. The situation escalated after Brooklyn’s younger brother, Cruz Beckham, claimed online that Brooklyn had blocked both him and their parents on social media.
But now, the 26-year-old has accused his parents of being “controlling” and trying to “ruin” his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
On January 19, Brooklyn addressed the controversy directly in a lengthy Instagram post, accusing his parents of manipulating media narratives and detailing long-simmering tensions surrounding his 2022 wedding to actress Nicola Peltz.

“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn wrote. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
He went on to make a definitive break from his family, adding:
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.”
Brooklyn also criticized what he described as performative behavior, writing:
“The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
Turning to the wedding itself, Brooklyn claimed his mother, Victoria Beckham, abruptly backed out of designing Nicola’s wedding dress at the last moment.
“My mom canceled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” he wrote.

Nicola has previously denied any “feud” with her mother-in-law, while admitting that rumors grew after she didn’t wear a Victoria Beckham design.
Speaking to The Sunday Times in 2022, she said: “I think it all started … because I didn’t end up wearing Victoria’s wedding dress. But the real truth is I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn’s mum got to make that for me.”
And in 2022, during an interview with Grazia USA, she also painted a different timeline. At the time, she described the change as happening early enough to pivot calmly rather than in a last-minute scramble.
“Well, I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress and I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created,” Nicola said.
“I thought that was so beautiful and such a beautiful story.”
She continued: “We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it. So, I spoke to my mom and Leslie, and I was like, ‘Well, unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’”
Nicola added that she ultimately turned to Valentino, a longtime favorite:
“I’ve been a fan of Valentino and their couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel to [the atelier] to try on the dress. That’s really what happened.”
Further complicating Brooklyn’s “eleventh hour” claim, British Vogue previously reported that Nicola’s Valentino gown resulted from “a year’s worth of conversations” with creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s team, along with multiple fittings and trips to Rome.
Brooklyn also leveled other serious allegations tied to the wedding, including claims that his parents pressured him to sign away rights to his own name.
“Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children,” he wrote.

Perhaps the most emotionally charged accusation involved the wedding’s first dance. According to Brooklyn, what was meant to be a romantic moment with Nicola was overtaken by his mother.
“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” he wrote.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Brooklyn concluded by explaining why he and Nicola chose to renew their vows:
“We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”
As Brooklyn’s claims circulate, comparisons with Nicola’s earlier statements have only fueled debate over what truly happened behind the scenes — and how deep the Beckham family divide now runs.
