‘Days Of Our Lives’ actor Cody Longo’s cause of death finally determined months after his death

Cody Longo’s died in February of this year. His death was a painful reminder of how short life is, given that he was only 34 years old at the time of his demise. Now the official cause of his death has officially been revealed by the medical examiner.

Former “Days of Our Lives” star Cody Longo passed away in February this year. His death occurred on February 8th, 2023, and left a lot of people heartbroken. The actor was best known for his roles as Eddie Duran in the Nickelodeon series Hollywood Heights and also for playing Nicholas Alamain in Days of our Lives.

His death surprised a lot of people since he was only 34 years old, but now the medical examiner’s official report explains what went wrong.

The report states Cody’s cause of death as “chronic ethanol abuse” and clarifies that his death was natural. The autopsy also reported that when Cody’s body was found, it was already decomposing, and the scene was littered with bottles of alcohol.

34-year-old Cody was found dead in a bed in a residence in Austin, Texas. While the autopsy took a while to complete and be made public, Cody’s family might have already suspected the cause of his death as they were well aware of his alcohol abuse. They had shared with outlets earlier that he had struggled with alcohol addiction and had been in rehab in the summer of 2022.

They already suspected that he had relapsed, and alcoholism ultimately killed him. Previously in 2013, Cody had gotten a DUI in L.A. but had gotten off with a plea deal that involved him attending attend alcohol education classes.
