High school graduations are emotional times for teenagers as they prepare to leave the school they have known and venture into the adult world. And if they are lucky, they are able to experience 4 years of college.

St. Augustine High School is a private all-boys Catholic school. The school is located in New Orleans. It was established in 1951 and even today remains one of the leading institutions for black men in the state.
This time the school has made headlines again for another incredible achievement by their student body. The St. Augustine High School class of 2022 has earned the spectacular feat of having every student in the class accepted to college.
Not only did the young men gain admission, they also received a sleuth of scholarship offers. The total aggregate scholarships received by the class of 2022 were over $9.2 million! It is clear that this group of young men is exceptional.

The Director of Communications & Marketing for the school, Mel Cordier said that 99 graduates in this class will enroll in a college or university. And one graduate is entering the military.
With all the doom and gloom in the world, it is heartening to see that there is still a joy to be found. The families of these brilliant young men are surely celebrating this amazing collective achievement.
