Hollywood actor’s nephew, 17, confirmed as one of UK train attack victims

32-year-old Anthony Williams was charged with 10 counts of attempted murder in relation to the stabbings on a London-bound train on November 1. Now, it’s been confirmed that one of the people injured was a nephew of a Hollywood star.

Between 31 October and 1 November, several people were injured on the 6.25 pm train from Doncaster bound for London King’s Cross. One man, 32-year-old Anthony Williams, has been charged with several offences in relation to the stabbings.

Now, it’s been revealed that one of the youngest of the victims in the attack is a nephew of a Hollywood star. Metro and The Daily Mail reports that Isaiah Ishmael Idris, a 17-year-old nephew of British actor Damson Idris, was injured in the attack.

Per the British Transport Police, the boy suffered “facial injuries” after being attacked with a knife on London’s Docklands Light Railway. According to the Metro, he “staggered” off the train at Pontoon Dock station and called the UK emergency number 999.

“On 1 November at 00.46 am, British Transport Police (BTP) officers received a report of an incident on a DLR train at Pontoon Dock where a 17-year-old victim suffered facial injuries after being attacked with a knife,” the Transport Police wrote.

“The suspect had left the location before police arrival. BTP subsequently identified Anthony Williams as a suspect and took steps to locate and arrest him that day,” they added.

Isaiah’s uncle, Habeeb, later confirmed his nephew was stabbed. Damson Idris, the actor who starred in the new F1 movie with Brad Pitt, has not commented.

“I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family,” Habeeb told the Daily Mail.

A total of eleven people were stabbed, and ten were taken to the hospital by ambulance after being injured in the train attack. One person also brought themself to the hospital.

Per Unilad, Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Cundy said: “The criminal investigation is a priority for British Transport Police, and we are working closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and the Crown Prosecution Service.

“We have also this week initiated measures to increase the visibility of police officers across the railway network to reassure both rail staff and the travelling public. People will have seen officers actively patrolling concourses and trains, engaging with train crew and passengers, and covering as many services as possible to maintain safety and confidence.”

Cundy added, “Most importantly, the public are our eyes and ears too. If you see something that doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and text us on 61016.”
