Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx is being sued over some horrifying allegations made against him. Keep reading to learn more about this story that is making headlines globally.
Jamie Foxx is being accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a New York City rooftop bar around eight years ago. According to the lawsuit, Foxx was at the Catch NYC & Roof in August 2015 around 11 PM at night.
The plaintiff noticed Foxx was sitting one table away. At around 1 AM later that night, the plaintiff’s friend asked Foxx if he would take a picture with her and the plaintiff. The documents claim that Foxx said, “Sure, baby anything for you,” and seemed intoxicated at the time. Fox then commented on the plaintiff’s body, saying, “Wow, you have that supermodel body,” adding, “You smell so good.”
He allegedly also said the plaintiff looked like Gabrielle Union. The plaintiff then alleges that Foxx pulled her by the arm to the back area of the rooftop, where he proceeded to put his hands on her waist and move them to under her top, where he started to rub her breasts. She said she attempted to step away and noticed a security guard and some other people who had seen what happened and merely walked away, ignoring everything.
The documents go on to say that Foxx then allegedly slid his hands into her pants and put fingers on and in her vagina and anus. She says it was around that moment when her friend came over and stopped Jamie from touching her.
The plaintiff claimed that the incident left her injured, and she had to undergo medical treatment because of it. She also suffered from emotional distress as a result of the “sexual assault, abuse, assault and battery.”
She is suing Foxx and the bar in order to seek compensation and punitive damages.
Foxx has not responded to these allegations as yet.
