The World Economic Forum is a high-level policy event that attracts political figures from around the world. On January 20, 2026, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was also at the event, but it was not his presence that had people talking.
Next to him was his new girlfriend, singer Katy Perry. She was at the event wearing a long-sleeved, well-fitting beige button-down dress. She was happily taking centerstage along with her beau Trudeau. The couple walked hand in hand and were immediately photographed and talked about throughout the event.
The videos and images of the couple from the event immediately went viral. Page Six on their Instagram even referred to Trudeau as Katy Perry’s Boyfriend.
Some people saw the pictures and immediately had some questions, one person asked, “is she knocked up ?”
While other worried about her health, with one person asking, “She looks so sickly is she ok ?!” Others were not impressed with her new conservative style, with one person commenting “i thought she looked dull not conservative stylish,” another agreed saying, “That hairdo looks harsh on her. She needs a softer style.”
Another person who commented on Katy Perry and her new relationship was her ex-husband, Russell Brand. He was present at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Arizona, when he decided to comment on his ex-wife’s new beau.
He said, “I love her still, and I’m glad that her mom’s in the room to hear me say this, but look. I was okay with Orlando Bloom, but Justin Trudeau? C’mon, man! Don’t put me in a category with that guy! That globalist stooge.”
He said this right after he had spoken about Perry’s family. He said of them, “My ex-wife’s parents are here. They’re Christians, and I love them. I love Mary Perry. God bless you. Thank you for bringing the message to me.”
