Man with the world’s highest IQ shares surprising revelation about the existence of God

The man recognized as having the highest recorded IQ in the world has sparked debate online after making a bold statement about religion.

For centuries, people have wrestled with one of humanity’s biggest questions: Does God exist? While many scientists remain skeptical of the idea of a higher power, billions of religious believers maintain that a divine creator exists and watches over the world. Now, one of the world’s most intellectually gifted individuals has weighed in.

South Korean scientist YoungHoon Kim, who is reported to have an IQ of 276, recently shared his thoughts on the subject in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“God is real 100% and Jesus is God. – World’s Highest IQ 276 Holder,” Kim wrote, according to VT.

He also repeated the message in a video posted alongside the statement. Kim’s comments quickly attracted attention, in part because of his extraordinary IQ score. The average IQ is generally considered to be around 100, while scores above 140 are often classified as genius level. Historical figures often associated with exceptionally high IQs include Albert Einstein at roughly 160, Voltaire and Isaac Newton at around 200, William Shakespeare at 210, and Leonardo da Vinci at 220.

In April 2024, the Giga Society, an organization for individuals with IQ scores above 190, stated that Kim had achieved a score of 276, making him the highest-IQ person in the world on paper.

His recent comments are not the first time he has publicly discussed faith. Previously, Kim said: “Christ is my logic,” and indicated that he hopes to use his public platform to encourage others to explore religion.

Kim also holds a theology degree from Seoul’s Yonsei University, a field he has described as “the ultimate discipline of all fields of study.”

When speaking about the possibility of life after death, Kim suggested that science and spirituality may not be at odds. Referencing quantum physics and theories of consciousness, he said: “If reality is part of something bigger, then death is not the end, but a transition.”

He continued: “Our death is not destruction, but change and shift. Humanity will keep searching for the truth about what comes after.”

“IQ scores don’t turn belief into proof”

His latest remarks generated a wide range of reactions online.

One user responded: “Ok, so surely a man of your IQ can present some evidence, right? Right?,” according to VT.

Another asked: “Just curious – as the man with the highest recorded IQ, what was it that convinced you that God is real and Christianity is the true faith?”

Others questioned the nature of God itself, with one commenter writing: “God is only one or can be more than one?”

Not everyone was convinced by Kim’s certainty.

“IQ scores don’t turn belief into proof…. And absolute certainty is not a flex. It’s a tell. Faith isn’t diminished by doubt — it’s diminished by pretending doubt doesn’t exist,” another person wrote.
