Morgan Fairchild describes her partner’s loss with five heart-wrenching words

We all know and adore Morgan Fairchild from her role in General Hospital. Now the actress has revealed something very disturbing; the death of her longtime partner Mark Seiler.

Morgan Fairchild’s partner of 36 years, Mark Seiler has passed away. The actress famed for General Hospital took to social media to share her heartbreak with everyone. She shared that Seiler had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for a while, but he succumbed to death because of complications he suffered due to long COVID.

“It seems to be Long Covid that took his life after his 3rd infection,” she wrote on Twitter. She added five heartbreaking words after her loss as a lesson to others, “Hold your loved ones close.”

The 73-year-old actress also posted a tribute on Instagram. She captioned an old picture of the couple with, “He was a warm, brilliant & very funny man, and I am devastated,” she wrote in a caption to a black and white photo of them dressed elegantly. “Hold your loved ones close and please consider wearing a mask. #BeKind I am  Sending Love To You All.” She added heart and flower emojis to the end.

Other actors shared their condolences with the actress, including actor Mark Hamill. He sent her a tweet saying, “So sorry for your loss, Morgan. Sending my love & deepest condolences your way,” to which the Days of Our Lives alum responded, “Thanks so much, Mark! Much appreciated!”

American journalist Deborah Roberts wrote in a comment, “So sorry for your loss. What joy he seemed to speak! May the memories sustain you.”

Mark Seiler had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2016. The couple began dating one another in 1980. In June 2020, she revealed Seiler was in a nursing home being treated while she remained alone in their home.

“They’re taking very good care of him there,” the actress said at the time.

While the couple had been engaged for a long time, she did not allude to whether they had any plans of getting married. She said, ‘It’s definitely a long-term commitment, and we’ve been together for a long time … so we may just leave it the way it is right now. We’re both getting older.’
