NBC announces shocking coaches lineup for ‘The Voice’ season 27

Adam Levine is returning to The Voice!

After a six-year absence the Maroon 5 frontman is returning to his big red chair on the NBC hit show.

Levine was one of the original coaches when The Voice began in April 2011. He appeared alongside Blake Shelton, CeeLo Green, and Christina Aguilera.

He stayed on the show for 16 seasons, winning three, before departing in 2019.

At the time his departure was a shock to all.

“About 8 years ago, Mark Burnett convinced us to sign up for this show where you sit in a big red chair with your back turned away from the singers on the stage. First thank you must go to Mark. ❤️ We had no idea what we were doing or where it was going,” he shared on social media at the time.

“After the first day of shooting, I sat there, stunned. I said to myself ‘there’s some magic here. Something is definitely happening.’ It went on to be a life shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever.”

Levine also gave a shout out to his friend Shelton, who at the time was the only other original coach on the show.

Unfortunately, fans of The Voice will have to wait until season 27 which premieres in spring 2025 for the return of Adam Levine.

Season 27 will also feature first-time coach Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, and Michael Bublé.

As for season 26, fans can look forward to watching Michael Bublé, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, and Reba McEntire.
