Birthdays are always special especially if you are a kid. So you can imagine the sheer heartbreak a child can face if none of their friends or family show up at their party.
9-year-old Jaydenn sat alone with his cake on his birthday but then something spectacular happened…
A family in West Valley City in Utah prepared for their 9-year-old birthday party. Like any kid, Jaydenn was excited about his party, his mom had sent out invites for the party early in December.
The party was set to be held on New Year’s Eve and when the day rolled around Jaydenn was very excited. However, no one showed up to his party. None of his friends and family turned up to celebrate the big day with him.
His mother took a picture of the heartbroken little boy sitting alone with his cake.
“He teared up a little saying I guess I’m going to have to get used to this,” Jaydenn’s mother, Rosario Lopez said. She added, “Obviously as a mom it breaks your heart. You try to do what you can for them; run that extra mile. So I went on Facebook and posted about what happened.”

She just wanted some comments wishing her little boy happy birthday so she could show him and get a smile out of him. However, people went above and beyond. Countless strangers asked for her address to send over presents or drop them off in person. Others sent money through Venmo or food deliveries from DoorDash throughout the week to make his birthday special.
His mother happily reported that Jaydenn received treats, food, clothes, action figures and a toy truck.
“To be honest, I cried. I wasn’t expecting that at all. There are good people out there,” Jaydenn’s mother shared. “I just can’t say how grateful I am; truly we are so grateful from the bottom of our hearts.”
She added that it had been cold and snowing during this time and strangers ignored the bad weather and still showed up to make her little boy’s birthday a little more special.
