Since the world went into lockdown and traveling became a potential safety hazard more families are having to settle for a staycation.
Sales of RVs skyrocketed over the summer as families saw motorhomes as an ideal opportunity to take a safe trip during their vacation time, avoiding all public spaces while enjoying a change of scenery.
Sales of midrange motorhomes were up 90 percent in June, compared to last year, according a report by CBS News citing The New Yorker magazine.
Motorhomes aren’t for everybody as living with your family in even closer quarters isn’t ideal if you’re already struggling with the additional family time this pandemic has led to.
However, this particular motorhome is attracting a lot of attention as it offers families a chance to live in the lap of luxury but comes with a serious price tag.
The Volkner Mobil Performance S-class is a level of luxury the majority of us can only dream about.
“It’s a house on wheels,” German-based Volkner Mobil’s director Stephanie Volkner told the Daily Mail.
“Our clients normally have big companies. They want to travel freely. They want to decide when they start their journey, where they can go, not before. They look at the weather and start. They want to live in their own, very personal area.”
That sounds like something we all want but not all of us can afford the $1.7 million price tag on this luxurious vehicle.
Looking at this stunning machine is basically like taking a tour around a 5-star hotel. The 40ft vehicle includes a double bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, a spacious lounge area and a heated bathroom.
The 18-ton motorhome, which first went viral in 2017, even includes its own garage with an electrohydraulic lift.
Leather seats, a china cabinet, and space for a deli meat slicer are also some of the perks of this stunning motorhome with a Volvo-Mercedes Benz chassis.
Buyers have a choice what interior décor they prefer so if wood paneling isn’t your thing there are other options.
Enjoy a fully-equipped kitchen complete with glass cabinet.
Ample storage space and a big-screen TV in the dining area means there’s no need to take your luxury sports car out of its garage to a restaurant but can enjoy home comforts from your safe motorhome.
Then after your evening is over walk through a bathroom with a rain shower and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep in a double bedroom where again you have a choice of décor: wood paneling or no wood paneling.
