Virginia Giuffre – the woman who famously accused Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of sexual abuse – shockingly claimed she has only “four days to live” after she was involved in an accident. However, Australian police confirmed it was a “minor crash” with no reported injuries, contradicting Giuffre’s dramatic description that caused a lot of buzz on the internet.
Virginia Giuffre gained international attention after accusing Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, alleging that as a teenager, she was trafficked by the late Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite whom she met in 2000 while working as a locker room attendant at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, BBC reports.
Giuffre claimed she “went from being abused by Epstein to then being passed around like a platter – a platter of fruit,” to Epstein’s powerful associates.
The biggest bomb dropped when she explained, that in 2001 as a 17-year-old, she was swept off to London, where Epstein introduced her to the Duke of York.
According to Giuffre, she was told “to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey,” by Maxwell – who in 2021 was found guilty of child sex trafficking and other offences in connection with the convicted financier, who died in 2019.
“And that made me sick,” Giuffre told BBC in 2019. “I just didn’t expect it from royalty. I didn’t expect it from someone who people look up to and admire, you know, in the royal family.”
While Prince Andrew denied the allegations, the two reached a multimillion-dollar, out-of-court settlement in 2022, putting an end to her sexual abuse lawsuit against him.
Making headlines
The American Australian is making headlines again but this time, her fame follows a dramatic Instagram photo that shows her bruised and lying in a bed.
On March 30, the woman told her followers that the car she was in “might as well be a tin can” after it was struck by a school bus, causing her to go into renal failure.
She also made the startling claim that doctors had given her just four days to live.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology,” she writes in the emotional post. “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time.”
Guiffre explained that a school bus “driving 110km [68 mph]” hit her car as it was slowing for a turn, but didn’t say when or where the crash had happened.
In a statement shared with the BBC, her spokesperson Dini von Mueffling said: “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital. She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”
‘Sick to my stomach’
Speaking with the Daily Mail, Giuffre’s father said he feels “sick” that he can’t be with his daughter, who’s estranged from her three children and her husband of almost 23 years.
‘I’m sick to my stomach. I feel like crying because I love my daughter more than life,” Sky Roberts told the outlet from his home in Florida. “She’s in really bad shape. She’s very depressed…I’m hoping she can hang on.”
Roberts, who can’t afford the flight to see her in Australia, hasn’t seen his daughter since the accident and admitted he’s relying on second-hand information about her condition.
‘There’s nothing I can do from here,’ he said.
‘Minor’ crash
Meanwhile, Giuffre’s alarming description of the “serious accident” clashes with reports made by Western Australia Police.
While authorities have confirmed a “minor crash” about 3 p.m. on March 24, there were no reported injuries, and nobody was hospitalized.
“We have no report of any serious injuries,” Acting WA Police Commissioner Kylie Whiteley told 7News Perth, adding the bus driver did not report the incident to police until the next day.
“I’m not aware of any passengers on the bus, but certainly the bus driver reported it as he was required to do and in the right timeframes. I’m advised there is about $2000 in damage done to the vehicle, I’m not aware of any injuries.”
It remains unclear exactly where and when the “serious” crash occurred.
If Giuffre is truly in critical condition, we’ll likely hear more updates soon. But if police reports hold true, this could be yet another mysterious chapter in her already high-profile and controversial life.
Please let us know what you think of Giuffre’s shocking claims and then share this story with others so we can hear from them!
