Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldo has given his verdict on today’s World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
Ronaldo Nazario has taken to TikTok to reveal who he think will win tonight’s World Cup Final ahead of the match.
Argentina and Spain will be play at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The two-time World Cup winner and 2002 Golden Boot recipient said he believes Spain will win comfortably.
“I think Spain wins and the game will be easy,” he said, adding:
“Their DNA is not just the football played in this World Cup, they have been doing this for a long time. They grew up doing it like this, playing this way.”
Ronaldo said Spain’s ability to dominate possession will be too much for Argentina to cope with.
“I don’t believe Argentina has the strength to become a game of 1-0, 2-0 because Spain will have possession of the ball all of the time.”
Ronaldo has praise for Argentina too
He was generous toward Argentina and Lionel Messi despite backing Spain, praising the way they had turned games around throughout the tournament.
“Messi, one more time, makes one more beautiful story at a World Cup,” he said.
“It’s a team that demonstrates character, a spirit of overcoming. It’s very beautiful and admirable.”
Spain reached the final with a 2-0 win over pre-tournament favorites France, while Argentina edged England 2-1 in the other semi-final.
Argentina are aiming to win the World Cup for the fourth time. Spain are chasing a second.
Kickoff is at 3pm ET. President Donald Trump is expected to hand the trophy to the winning captain and Jennifer Hudson will perform the US national anthem before the match.
